Historic Lucan Kitchen

This historic 1800s home was lacking functionality and storage. This client originally wanted to reface the cupboards but when the price came in; a new custom kitchen wasn’t far off.

We started by taking out the corner pantry and the entry door to the foyer to open up the space.

We moved the fridge to the pantry corner and created another bank of drawers in its place.

The biggest impact here were taller cabinets, new appliances and moving the stove so it was surrounded by counter space.

We chose butcher block counters and a matte satin backsplash with a little more character than the standard white tile to suit the character of the house.

Floating shelves keep the open design and simple style.
